The Canadian Health Coalition is encouraged by the Health Minister focusing attention on Alberta’s moves toward unprecedented privatization and the creation of an unfair, two-tier health care system.

As Jason MacLean, Chairperson of the Canadian Health Coalition, put it: “Health Minister Marjorie Michel needs to clarify that it is the federal government’s position that Alberta’s Bill 11 is a clear violation of the Canada Health Act. This will instill confidence that she is prepared to enforce the Act.”
The Canadian Health Coalition is not backing down. We are prepared to do whatever it takes to ensure the Canada Health Act is enforced and public health care is protected.
