A coalition of pro-privatization think tanks recently took out a digital ad in The Hill Times. They publicly thanked Prime Minister Mark Carney for staying silent while Alberta dismantles public health care.
These think tanks are connected to the Atlas Network, an American dark money coalition that has spent decades and millions of dollars funding efforts to privatize health care across Canada.
Their ad was more than likely paid for by people who do not live here, will never rely on this system, and stand to profit from tearing it down.
The Canadian Health Coalition runs ads too. But ours are funded differently. Every dollar behind our ads comes from everyday Canadians who believe health care should be based on need, not the size of your bank account. We do not have American billionaires funding our campaigns, and we never will.
